REPORT: 49ers Offensive Tackle Trent Williams Signs with the Raiders…

Posted on April 26, 2025

In a stunning move that is sending shockwaves through the NFL, star offensive tackle Trent Williams has reportedly signed with the Las Vegas Raiders. Williams, who has been a cornerstone of the San Francisco 49ers’ offensive line for the past several seasons, is considered one of the best tackles in the league and a future Hall of Famer.

The 35-year-old veteran’s departure marks the end of a highly successful era in San Francisco, where he earned multiple Pro Bowl selections and was a key figure in the team’s deep playoff runs. His combination of strength, agility, and leadership made him one of the most respected players in the locker room and a fan favorite.

For the Raiders, this is a massive win. Strengthening their offensive line has been a major priority, and adding a player of Williams’ caliber immediately boosts their protection for quarterback Aidan O’Connell (or whoever leads the offense moving forward). Williams’ presence should also significantly help the Raiders’ run game, giving them one of the most experienced and dominant tackles in the NFL.

The details of the contract have yet to be fully revealed, but it is expected to make Williams one of the highest-paid offensive linemen in the league once again. As Raiders fans celebrate this major acquisition, 49ers supporters are left to ponder how the team will fill the massive void left behind.

Stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available.
