BREAKING NEWS; Cincinnati Bengals franchise quarterback Joe Burrow has officially expressed strong interest in joining the Las Vegas Raiders, aligning himself with new head coach Pete Carroll in what could become one of the boldest quarterback moves of the decade…

Posted on May 3, 2025

In a twist that’s sending shockwaves through the NFL, Cincinnati Bengals franchise quarterback Joe Burrow has reportedly expressed strong interest in joining the Las Vegas Raiders, aligning himself with new head coach Pete Carroll in what could become one of the boldest quarterback moves of the decade.

Multiple sources close to Burrow’s camp have confirmed that the 28-year-old signal-caller is intrigued by the energy in Las Vegas and Carroll’s vision for rebuilding the iconic Raiders franchise into a legitimate championship contender.

Burrow’s Unexpected Shift

After leading the Bengals to multiple playoff appearances and a Super Bowl berth in the 2021 season, Burrow has become one of the league’s most respected veteran quarterbacks. However, lingering frustrations with Cincinnati’s inconsistent roster moves and coaching turnover have reportedly left him open to a new challenge.

Now, that challenge may lie in the desert.

“Vegas has a swagger to it — and Coach Carroll brings a championship pedigree that excites me,” Burrow reportedly said in a private conversation with close associates. “It could be the perfect storm.”

Pete Carroll Pushes for Long-Term Vision

Pete Carroll, the 73-year-old coaching legend who took over the Raiders in early 2025 after leaving Seattle, has wasted no time shaking things up. Known for his energy, leadership, and ability to rally a locker room, Carroll sees Burrow as the cornerstone of his new era in Las Vegas.

According to team insiders, Carroll is adamant about locking Burrow into a long-term deal should the Bengals entertain trade talks — viewing him as a foundational leader who could restore glory to a franchise that’s long yearned for sustained success.

“Joe’s not just a great quarterback — he’s a culture-changer,” Carroll reportedly told Raiders ownership. “If we have a shot, we don’t rent. We build. Long-term.”

The Stakes: Sky-High

Burrow, still under contract with the Bengals, would likely require a massive trade package involving multiple first-round picks and premium talent. The Bengals have remained publicly silent on the matter, but front office sources have acknowledged they’re aware of Burrow’s “growing openness to other opportunities.”

Meanwhile, the Raiders are quietly assembling offensive pieces — including a bolstered line and dynamic playmakers — that could make Las Vegas a true threat in the AFC with a quarterback like Burrow under center.

Burrow added fuel to the fire with a cryptic Instagram post:

“Sometimes, it’s time to bet on black.”

What’s Next?

With training camp just months away, all eyes are on Cincinnati and Las Vegas. Will the Bengals lock down their franchise quarterback for the long haul — or will the bright lights of Vegas lure Burrow into a new chapter?

One thing is certain: if Joe Burrow dons the silver and black, **the AFC West just became a war.
