Colts QB Has 4-Word Message for Tyler Warren After Indianapolis Selection

Colts QB Has 4-Word Message for
The Indianapolis Colts have long been linked to a tight end in the 2025 NFL draft.

Originally, experts expected them to select tight end Tyler Warren, but as draft day approached, the general feeling was that he may be picked earlier than No. 14.

The projections for the Colts then switched to Colston Loveland from Michigan who is also a tight end.

After the first nine picks of the draft went mostly according to plan, the Chicago Bears shook up teams’ draft boards by taking Loveland over Warren with the 10th pick.

The Colts’ roster isn’t bad by any means, but it also isn’t star laden.

They needed playmakers badly and they couldn’t have found a better one than Warren.

The John Mackey Award winner has a chance to revolutionize the tight end position with his unprecedented versatility.

He took a significant amount of snaps at tight end, wide receiver, slot receiver, fullback, running back and even quarterback.

Totaling over 1,200 yards and eight touchdowns in the 2024 season, Warren also has a chance to be a special pass catcher at the next level.

The only catch is that he needs a reliable quarterback to throw the ball, which Indianapolis hasn’t proved that they have at this juncture.

They used the No. 4 overall selection on quarterback Anthony Richardson in the 2023 draft, but he’s had an up-and-down start to his career.

He is currently engaged in a battle with former New York Giants signal caller Daniel Jones to see who will win the starting job next season.

Even with all the adversity facing Richardson and controversy surrounding his name, he still made a point to welcome and celebrate his new teammate.

The former Florida passer kept it simple, telling Warren, “We got a dog!”

The Penn State standout stands at 6’6 and weighs 260 pounds, so he’ll be an incredibly big target that will be hard for either Colts quarterback to miss.

Tight ends have proven to be a security blanket for inaccurate quarterbacks in the past, so if Richardson and Warren develop a connection, he may be able to save his job.
