A fan surprises Brianna Turner with a brutal gift that left her in tears…… thought of the gift?

For the second time in the past few days, a WNBA player has been released on their birthday.

On June 25, the Indiana Fever waived rookie guard Celeste Taylor on her 23rd birthday. The former second-round pick from Ohio State only appeared in five games before getting cut.

Just four days later, the Los Angeles Sparks waived center Queen Egbo on her 24th birthday.

The Sparks signed Egbo to a hardship contract after losing rookie Cameron Brink to a season-ending torn ACL. She only received four minutes of playing time in the past two games.

WNBA fans wasted no time calling out the Sparks for parting ways with Egbo on her birthday.

“Cutting her on her birthday is nasty work,” one fan wrote.

“Y’all are EVIL,” another fan said.

“The GM got something personal goin on to do this on her bday,” a third fan tweeted.

Egbo, a former top-10 pick out of Baylor, has already played for the Indiana Fever, Washington Mystics and Connecticut Sun. Perhaps she’ll find a landing spot in the next few days.

Hopefully, we can go a few weeks without having to see another WNBA player getting released on their birthday.
