Breaking: Ravens Reportedly Shut Down Contract Talks for $144 Million 6-Time Pro Bowler Just for Lamar Jackson

Posted on April 3, 2025

Ravens Reportedly Shut Down Contract Talks. The Baltimore Ravens head into the 2025 offseason with an opportunity to strengthen an already strong roster that helped them achieve a 12-5 record and reach the Divisional Round last season. While the team performed well overall, the defense could use some reinforcements, having finished ninth in points allowed per game (21.2) and 10th in total yards allowed per game (324.2) in 2024.

Although many top free agents have already signed, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that Baltimore is among the teams considering defensive lineman Calais Campbell. According to Jackson, Campbell is weighing his options between the Ravens, Miami Dolphins, or another team, with retirement still a possibility.

At 38 years old, Campbell remained productive for the Dolphins last season, starting all 17 games and recording 52 tackles, five sacks, 12 tackles for loss, 20 pressures, and nine hurries. If he were to return to Baltimore, it would mark a homecoming, as he previously played for the Ravens from 2020 to 2022, earning one of his six career Pro Bowl selections during that span.

The Ravens already boast a strong pass rush, finishing second in the NFL with 54 sacks, eighth in pressures (159), and 10th in quarterback knockdowns (61) last season. Signing Campbell wouldn’t require a major financial commitment either, as Spotrac estimates his market value at $7.1 million per year—a modest sum compared to his $144.6 million career earnings.

Report: Ravens Likely to Keep All-Pro Mark Andrews but Trade Remains Possible

The Baltimore Ravens are expected to retain All-Pro tight end Mark Andrews, though a potential trade remains on the table this offseason. According to reports, the Ravens are not actively looking to move the star tight end, viewing him as too valuable to part ways with. However, trade speculation surrounding Andrews has persisted, particularly after an injury-plagued season that saw him struggle to maintain his usual level of production.

A third-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma, Andrews spent his entire career with Baltimore, initially playing behind Hayden Hurst before emerging as one of the league’s most dynamic tight ends. However, injuries and the rise of Isaiah Likely have led to a reduced role in recent seasons. With Likely now the clear starter, Andrews may explore a trade to secure a larger role elsewhere.

Unless Likely suffers an injury, Andrews is unlikely to reclaim his starting spot in Baltimore. He could still be a starting-caliber tight end for another team, and here are five potential trade destinations that might be a fit.
