Seth Rogen Confirms Emma Watson Walked Off the Set of His Movie: âShe Was Probably Rightâ Read more about Emma Watson Charlotte

Following a longstanding report that Emma Watson walked off the set of 2013 comedy This Is the End, Seth Rogen has confirmed the rumor is true. In an interview with British GQ, Rogen said that Watson did, in fact, refuse to shoot a scene in which Danny McBride is a cannibal and holds Channing Tatum by a leash.
But Rogen said he isnât bothered by it.
âI mean, I donât look back on that and think, âHow dare she do that?â You know? I think sometimes when you read something, when it comes to life it doesnât seem to be what you thought it was,â he said. âBut it was not some terrible ending to our relationship. She came back the next day to say goodbye. She helped promote the film. No hard feelings and I couldnât be happier with how the film turned out in the end.â
The scene didnât end up in the film, but Rogen added that heâs happier with the scene they used instead: âShe was probably right. It was probably funnier the way we ended up doing it.â
The movie was Rogenâs directorial debut with Evan Goldberg, before they went on to direct The Interview (2014).
Rogenâs book, which is probably best described as a memoir, is coming out in May, and in true Seth Rogen fashion, his book doesnât seem to be well, uh, traditional. Per British GQ, itâs not so much a compilation of industry stories that tell fans how he made it and more of a group of questionably appropriate stories from his life.
âHonestly,â he told British GQ, âin many ways, that was the biggest thing to overcome in my head: to demystify what a book was and what it meant to people. And I wanted to frame it as entertainment and not, like, a deep look at how Seth Rogen came to be.â
Watson, whose last role was as Meg March in Little Women, was the subject of rumors that she was quitting acting because she hasnât been posting on her social media accounts. Her publicist Jason Weinberg issued a statement to Entertainment Weekly and denied these rumors.
âEmmaâs social media accounts are dormant, but her career isnât,â he said in a statement to EW.
