🥺 Tears In Families Of Deceased Soldiers Heart As They Talk About Their Loved Ones

Posted on January 30, 2024

The tragic drone attack on a US military outpost in Jordan not only claimed the lives of three American soldiers but also left grieving families mourning the loss of their loved ones. Sgt. William Rivers, 46, of Carrollton, Georgia; Specialist Kennedy Sanders, 24, of Waycross, Georgia; and Specialist Breonna Moffett, 23, of Savannah, Georgia, were identified as the victims of the attack. As their families grapple with the pain of their untimely departure, they are sharing poignant memories and reflections on the lives of the fallen soldiers.

Sanders’ parents, speaking to CNN’s Erin Burnett, expressed a desire for their daughter to be remembered for her service, sacrifice, and the vibrant way she lived her life. Despite the brevity of her time on Earth, they emphasized that Kennedy Sanders lived her life to the fullest, finding joy in every situation, even during deployments. Oneida Oliver-Sanders, Kennedy’s mother, highlighted her daughter’s diverse interests, from learning a new language and practicing jiu-jitsu to crocheting. The grieving parents emphasized Kennedy’s ability to make the most of her time, turning challenging situations into opportunities for personal growth and enjoyment.

Regarding a potential US response to the deadly attack, Oliver-Sanders acknowledged that whatever decisions are made at the governmental level will not ease their pain. She underscored the concern for Kennedy’s battle buddies still in harm’s way, expressing her daughter’s hypothetical worry for their safety. The grieving parents confirmed that they have a call scheduled with the Biden administration, awaiting any updates or information that may shed light on the circumstances surrounding their daughter’s death.

Breonna Moffett’s mother, Francine, shared poignant insights into her daughter’s decision to join the military, becoming the second woman in the family to take such a path. Proud of Breonna’s commitment to her service, Francine Moffett recalled her daughter’s pride in being part of the military. She revealed that Breonna was considering reenlisting and described the anticipation and uncertainty she faced during her initial deployment in August.

In a heart-wrenching account of their last conversation, Francine Moffett recounted her daughter’s request for a care package, filled with essentials and sentimental items. Breonna wanted her real estate book, some clothes, and, most importantly, her favorite strawberry shortcake snack cakes and sunflower seeds. The emotional conversation captured a moment of normalcy and connection, as Breonna prepared to go to chow, promising to call her mother back. Sadly, that call never came, leaving the Moffett family waiting anxiously for updates and information from President Biden.

As the families navigate the profound grief of losing their children, they stand united in honoring the memory of Sgt. William Rivers, Specialist Kennedy Sanders, and Specialist Breonna Moffett. Their stories not only reflect the bravery and sacrifice of those who serve in the military but also highlight the personal joys, challenges, and connections that make each fallen soldier unique and irreplaceable.
