2025 Mock Draft Monday 7.0: Experts Target O-Line, Cornerback, Linebacker

Posted on April 21, 2025

Thirty-one days away, the 49ers continue to position themselves for the 2025 NFL Draft. San Francisco recently finalized a trade with the Minnesota Vikings, sending running back Jordan Mason and a sixth-round pick (No. 187 overall) in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round selection (No. 160 overall) and a 2026 sixth-rounder. The move improves the 49ers draft position by 27 spots while maintaining their total of 11 picks—more than any other team in the league.

With the draft order now set, experts are narrowing in on several key areas for the 49ers at No. 11 overall. This week’s projections focus on bolstering the offensive line, cornerback group, and linebacker corps, with one analyst also predicting an interior defensive lineman.

Here’s a look at the latest mock drafts predicting how the 49ers could use their top selection.

NFL: Daniel Jeremiah

  • Jahdae Barron – CB, Texas

“The 49ers defense has seen a lot of departures this offseason, including at cornerback. Barron is one of the most consistent players on tape among prospects in this year’s class and he can take the ball away. He’ll be able to match up against some of the talented slot receivers in the division.”

NFL: Mike Band

  • Armand Membou – T, Missouri

“Membou offers a rare blend of size (332 pounds) and athleticism (he ran a 4.91-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine) that is ideal for Kyle Shanahan’s outside-zone scheme. He could challenge Colton McKivitz for the right tackle job immediately or slot in at guard as a rookie if Trent Williams and McKivitz remain healthy. San Francisco’s in-person meeting with Membou in Indy only strengthens the belief that he’s on the Niners short list of potential long-term building blocks.”

NFL: Chad Reuter

  • Will Campbell – OL, LSU

“Campbell’s relatively short arms (32 5/8 inches) and narrow frame (77 3/8-inch wingspan) may push him inside at the next level, but the 49ers are thrilled to see him available here to challenge for the open left guard spot. Like the Colts Braden Smith and others, Campbell may eventually get the chance to prove himself outside to replace Trent Williams or Colton McKivitz.”

Yahoo! Sports: Nate Tice

  • Derrick Harmon – DT, Oregon

“The 49ers start to rebuild and reinforce their roster with a pick in the trenches. Harmon is equally adept at defending the run and pass, and can be asked to fill a variety of roles along the interior. He would be great in the 49ers heavy use of twists and stunts, and he gives San Francisco a young player to start replenishing its recently tenacious front.”

The Athletic: Ben Standig

  • Will Campbell – OL, LSU

“The 49ers released/traded numerous talented players or passed on re-signing free agents to clear salary-cap space with heavy losses on both lines. Campbell is considered the surest offensive lineman in the draft but with shorter-than-desired arm length. San Francisco might begin Campbell’s career at guard while developing the 2024 All-American into the eventual Trent Williams replacement at left tackle.”

NBC Sports: Connor Rogers

  • Jalon Walker – LB, Georgia

“I think the 49ers will add a difference maker on defense with their No. 11 overall pick and Walker can do a little of everything in their front seven with speed and physicality.”

CBS Sports: Pete Prisco

  • Jahdae Barron – CB, Texas

“The 49ers lost a safety (Talanoa Hufanga) and a corner (Charvarius Ward) in free agency. So I have them opting to take a player who can play either spot or even the nickel if needed. Barron can do a lot of things.”
