Immediately after the 2025 NFL Draft concludes, mock drafts for the next year circle around, and while it is way-too-early, always interesting to look at, especially with the upcoming class.
Arch Manning, Texas Longhorns’ star quarterback, is presumably going to be entering the draft after next season, and is a projected top pick.
In The 33rd Team’s recent 2026 NFL Draft, they have Manning landing in a spot that his uncle, Peyton Manning, was drafted to.
Manning heads to the Indianapolis Colts with the No. 8 overall pick in this mock draft, who enter an interesting year when it comes to their quarterback room.
They currently have Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones as their top two quarterbacks, who were both top 10 picks in their respective drafts.
Both signal callers have disappointed thus far, and should they have another sub-par season, the Colts could look ahead to a new quarterback, and it is hard to turn down the potential of drafting Manning.
Seeing Manning in a Colts jersey in 2026 seems like a pipe-dream, as it has been 15 years since his uncle wore the Colts jersey in 2010, and should Arch be anything like his uncle in the pros, any team would be lucky to have him.
The nephew of a five-time MVP, Super Bowl champion, and a two-time Super Bowl champion in Eli Manning has incredible genetics, and a seemingly limitless talent.
Luckily for the Longhorns star, he has his grandfather’s athletics and is much more mobile than his uncles.
Texas has an incredible year of promise ahead of them, and will be beginning their season against Ohio State, who they fell to in the Cotton Bowl in last year’s College Football Playoffs.
