Boy do I have a doozy for you all today. Truly some good stuff coming your way here. And the best part is that it has nothing to do with mock drafts! We can all breath a sigh of relief. Although, then again, I’d maybe hold off on that for just a minute.
Somehow, Aaron Rodgers returned. He was on our TVs Thursday morning, talking Pat McAfee through any and every wholly-uninteresting thought that passed through his head, because that’s his whole schtick and it’s super original. If you can believe it, the world has conspired against Rodgers to sully his good name, which has forced him to be a warrior for his own justice. He doesn’t want to do these interviews, but he simply must in order to protect his reputation. It’s a heavy cross to bear.
Please keep an open mind and empathize with how hard he’s had it before you read this next quote. Remember that he definitely wouldn’t go on TV and say all this stuff if he didn’t have to. Definitely would not. And another thing: please don’t put in the newspaper that he got mad.

“I don’t have sources,” he said. “I don’t have people out there pushing my narratives. I speak for myself. It’s funny how the narrative goes f****** crazy when I haven’t said a f***** word. There’s nothing to say. I just laid out where I’m at. There’s nothing to report. There’s no reason to keep talking about me at this point. It’s time to turn the page.”
Honestly? Hell yeah, man. Keep it up dude. I know everyone else hates this routine, but I feel like Bears fans may be the only ones who are actually totally happy to let him keep flooding the internet with dozens of embarrassing soundbites at a time. If the world wants to remember Rodgers first and foremost as McAfee’s most cringey weekly interview, far be it from Bears fans to stop them. That’s his choice (and a very smart one at that).
He doesn’t have sources, ok? He doesn’t have sources and there’s no reason to keep talking about him. Just turn the page already. That’s what Aaron Rodgers wants. Credit where it’s due: for a second there, I almost believed him.
