The Baltimore Ravens have bolstered their offensive line by signing veteran offensive tackle Joseph Noteboom to a one-year contract, the team announced on Saturday, May 3, 2025 .(baltimoreravens.com)
Noteboom, 29, spent the first seven seasons of his NFL career with the Los Angeles Rams, appearing in 71 games with 35 starts. A third-round pick out of TCU in 2018, he has demonstrated versatility by playing at both guard and tackle positions .(SI, Wikipedia)
In Baltimore, Noteboom is expected to serve primarily as a swing tackle, providing depth behind starters Ronnie Stanley and Roger Rosengarten. His addition comes after the departure of swing tackle Josh Jones, who signed with the Seattle Seahawks in March .(Athlon Sports, SI)
Head Coach John Harbaugh expressed enthusiasm about the signing, stating, “To get Joseph Noteboom in here – a veteran, talented guy, who’s played on both sides… it’s a really big signing for us. We’re really excited. I talked to him last night. He’s fired up, excited to be here” (baltimoreravens.com).
Noteboom’s career has been impacted by injuries, including a torn ACL and MCL in 2019 and a torn Achilles tendon in 2022. In the 2024 season, he appeared in only four games due to an ankle injury sustained in the season opener (Wikipedia).
Despite these setbacks, the Ravens see potential in Noteboom’s experience and versatility to strengthen their offensive line depth. His presence is anticipated to provide valuable support as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
