AHL Playoff Preview: Providence Bruins at Charlotte Checkers with Line Combinations

Providence Bruins News & Notes:

The Bruins won games three and four to force this winner take all game five. They are averaging two goals per game while also allowing two goals per game in the playoffs. Brandon Bussi had to come in on Friday in relief of Michael DiPietro who left with an injury. Bussi stopped 31 of the 33 shots he faced. DiPietro is posting a 1.86 goals-against average and a .928 save percentage in the playoffs.

 

Charlotte Checkers News & Notes:

The Checkers led two separate times in game four but Providence fought back before ultimately winning in overtime. They are averaging 2.8 goals per game while allowing 1.8 goals per game. Kaapo Kahkonen is posting a 1.72 goals-against average, a .938 save percentage, and a shutout. He stopped 31 of the 34 shots he faced in Friday’s loss.
