One rivalry in NFL history has stood the test of time: the Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers. The NFC North feud continues on December 20 at Soldier Field.

The rivalry between the Bears and the Packers, two of the oldest teams in football, began in 1921. The Packers lead the series, 108–96–6. They are in the top two regarding total wins in NFL history, and the Hall of Fame features over 70 players from both teams.

In the 2020s, the Packers are 9-1 against the Bears. The majority of those games were won with Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. Jordan Love has taken over as QB for the Packers since, throwing for over 3,300 yards in 2024.

With Caleb Williams leading for Chicago, the team has shown promise. Williams threw for over 3,500 yards and rushed for nearly 500 during his rookie campaign. The 23-year-old helped Chicago beat the Packers last season for the first time since 2018.

Who will have the edge when the historic franchises face off once again?
