If there is one sure thing Ben Roethlisberger can take away from his career, it is that he dominated the Cleveland Browns.
Roethlisberger went 26-3-1 against the Browns over his illustrious career with the Steelers. Over that span, he won two Super Bowls and was a Pro Bowler six times. All in all, that will earn Roethlisberger a trip to Canton and the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Roethlisberger often takes shots at the Browns his podcast, Footbahlin, due to his career-long success against the AFC North rival. So, when Pat McAfee brought up the Browns at his ‘Big Night Aht’ show on Wednesday in Pittsburgh, Roethlisberger, a special guest, made sure to get a shot at the Browns in during his stage time.
“I’m sure your friends were Cleveland Browns fans,” McAfee told Roethlisberger, who grew up in Findlay, Ohio.
Roethlisberger, however, had his quip waiting to fire right back at McAfee about the Browns.
“I know I pretty much own that city,” Roethlisberger said.
The Browns did get a huge win against Roethlisberger, though, defeating the Steelers in the 2020 NFL Playoffs at Acrisure Stadium. In that game, Roethlisberger still put up big stats, but he threw four interceptions in a 48-37 loss.
That next year, Roethlisberger and the Steelers swept the Browns en route to a playoff berth. He would retire following that season, stamping his dominance over the Browns historically.
