BREAKING! Chiefs Have FOUND Their New MONSTER From Fresno State

Posted on June 4, 2025

The Kansas City Chiefs have added a new and exciting weapon to their roster from Fresno State — wide receiver Mac Dalena. Although he went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, Dalena quickly found a home in Kansas City, signing as a free agent. Despite the lack of draft attention, his talent, production, and work ethic have already started to generate buzz among fans and analysts, earning him the nickname “monster” for his potential to make a significant impact.

Dalena had a standout college career, especially in his final year at Fresno State. In the 2024 season, he racked up 64 receptions for 1,065 yards and eight touchdowns. This performance made him the school’s first 1,000-yard receiver since 2022. His ability to create separation, run precise routes, and make tough catches in traffic made him one of the most reliable targets in the Mountain West Conference. For his efforts, he earned First-Team All-Mountain West honors and was recognized nationally with a Second-Team All-American nod.

While Dalena might not have the prototypical NFL size or speed that scouts typically look for in early-round picks, he brings a complete skill set to the field. His understanding of defensive coverages, quickness out of breaks, and sure hands make him a valuable asset, particularly in a system like Andy Reid’s that values precision and versatility in its receivers. Dalena is known not just for his production but for his intelligence and work ethic — traits that fit perfectly in the Chiefs’ culture.

Interestingly, Dalena isn’t the only Bulldog making noise in Kansas City. Another Fresno State alum, Nikko Remigio, is also on the roster. Remigio joined the Chiefs in 2023 as an undrafted free agent and has already carved out a role as a dynamic return specialist. In the 2024 season, he accumulated nearly 400 return yards and made a crucial 44-yard punt return in the AFC Championship Game that helped propel the Chiefs to Super Bowl LIX. His success shows that the Chiefs are serious about identifying under-the-radar talent and giving them real opportunities to shine.

With Remigio already proving his worth and Dalena now entering the mix, Fresno State is gaining a reputation as a pipeline of overlooked but high-impact talent for the Chiefs. Dalena’s signing adds depth to a receiving corps looking to evolve after years of depending heavily on star tight end Travis Kelce and quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ improvisational brilliance. If Dalena continues to perform in offseason workouts and training camp, he could earn a roster spot — or even playing time — sooner than expected.

In a league where undrafted players frequently become key contributors, Mac Dalena’s path to the NFL is a familiar but inspiring story. If he can translate his college production and determination into the pros, the Chiefs may have once again found a hidden gem from Fresno State — a “monster” in the making who could help power their offense for seasons to come.
