Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis has been approved as a limited partner in the Pittsburgh Steelers ownership group, sources told ESPN. This move deepens the bond between “The Bus” and Steelers Nation.
Bettis, inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2015, played 10 seasons with the Steelers, rushing for 10,571 yards and 78 touchdowns. His crowning achievement was a Super Bowl XL win in 2006 in his hometown of Detroit.
“This is home,” Bettis told ESPN’s Brooke Pryor. “Pittsburgh and the Steelers shaped me, and I’m thrilled to give back in this new role.” His addition strengthens the team’s storied legacy.The Steelers’ ownership, known for its tight-knit structure, has selectively added partners recently.
