Breaking News:David Andrews Lands $50 Million Post-Retirement Deal with 98.5 The Sports Hub after…

Posted on June 19, 2025

Recently retired Patriots center David Andrews is already onto his next chapter and it’s a big one. Just weeks after officially announcing his retirement from the NFL, the 32-year-old former team captain has signed a lucrative $50 million deal to join 98.5 The Sports Hub, one of New England’s top sports media outlets. The deal will keep Andrews in the region he’s called home for the past decade and will see him provide analysis across the station’s platforms throughout the NFL season.

“I’ve enjoyed a great relationship with the Sports Hub since coming to New England 10 years ago,” Andrews said in the official announcement. “I’m looking forward to providing my analysis and perspective across the station’s various platforms this season.”

Andrews isn’t entirely new to the media world. He previously co-hosted The Quick Snap Podcast with former Patriots quarterback Brian Hoyer, a short-lived show that launched in September 2024 but went quiet shortly after Andrews was released by the Patriots in March. That release signaled the end of his playing days, as he opted to retire rather than seek a new team.

Andrews arrived in New England as an undrafted free agent in 2015 but quickly defied the odds to earn a starting role on the offensive line. Over the next 10 seasons, he became one of the most respected and consistent players in the Patriots locker room, serving as a team captain and anchoring the offensive front during two Super Bowl championship runs. His toughness, football IQ, and leadership made him a fan favorite and a core piece of the Patriots dynasty’s final chapters.

Rick Radzik, program director at The Sports Hub, expressed his excitement at bringing Andrews aboard. “David’s leadership and deep understanding of the game made him a standout on the field, and we’re excited to bring that same level of insight and authenticity to our listeners,” Radzik said. “He’s a natural fit for our lineup and the perfect voice to help break down the season from a player perspective.”

With this eye-popping $50 million deal, the Sports Hub is making a serious investment in turning Andrews into a marquee voice in New England sports media. While many former players struggle to transition into broadcasting, Andrews’ charisma, deep knowledge of the game, and connection with the fan base make him well-positioned to thrive in his new role.

For Patriots fans who’ve grown accustomed to seeing Andrews lead the team on Sundays, they’ll still get to hear his voice — now through the airwaves instead of the huddle.
