BREAKING: Patriots WR Stefon Diggs Could Reportedly Be Cut for Off-Field Behavior After Controversial Party Boat Video — Scott Zolak Drops Bombshell as New England Weighs Shocking Decision Just Months After $63.5M Deal See full details:

Posted on June 1, 2025

New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs is at the center of a growing controversy following the release of a party boat video that has raised serious concerns about his future with the team. The video, which surfaced over the Memorial Day weekend, shows Diggs participating in what appears to be a wild party, allegedly involving a pink-colored substance. While there has been no official confirmation about the nature of the substance or whether any illegal activity occurred, the optics alone have drawn intense scrutiny.

The video quickly made rounds on social media, prompting internal discussions within the Patriots organization. Team radio analyst Scott Zolak added fuel to the fire when he revealed that the team is “seriously considering” releasing Diggs, despite having signed him to a three-year, $63.5 million contract just months ago. “It’s not just the boat. There are some other things that I’ve heard that put some things in question,” Zolak said during a radio segment. This indicates that the video may be just one part of a broader pattern of behavior that has concerned the Patriots’ front office.

Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel addressed the situation briefly in a press conference, saying the team is aware of the video and is “handling it internally.” While he refrained from commenting on whether disciplinary action would be taken, Vrabel stressed the importance of maintaining professionalism both on and off the field. “We have a standard here, and we expect our players to live up to it,” he said.

This isn’t the first time questions have surrounded Diggs’ off-field demeanor. While widely regarded as one of the NFL’s most talented receivers, his time in Buffalo and later Houston was not without its share of drama. In New England, expectations were high that a fresh start under new leadership—including rookie quarterback Drake Maye—would allow Diggs to focus solely on football. Instead, this incident has put his future with the team in jeopardy before he’s even played a snap.

To complicate matters further, Diggs is recovering from a torn ACL suffered during his brief stint with the Houston Texans. That injury already cast a shadow over his ability to contribute early in the season. Now, with this controversy looming, there’s uncertainty not just about his health, but his roster spot.

The NFL has so far declined to comment on the matter, and there has been no official statement from Diggs or his representatives. However, reports indicate that the Patriots are actively weighing their options, which could include a release, suspension, or fines depending on how the internal review unfolds.

The timing could not be worse for the Patriots, who are attempting to rebuild their franchise identity after a disappointing few seasons. Diggs was expected to be a cornerstone in that process. Now, the team may be forced to make a difficult decision to preserve its locker room culture.

In the coming days, more details may emerge, but as it stands, Diggs’ future in New England hangs in the balance
