Woods qualified for his first USGA championship last week after shooting a 7-under 71 at Eagle Trace Golf Club in Coral Springs, Fla. The feat gave the 15-year-old confidence, especially ahead of his participation in the 15-18 age group at the Future Masters in Dothan, Alabama.
Woods Jr. got off to a tough start at Dothan Country Club, shooting a three-over 73 in the first round and a six-over 76 in the second round. Although a young player’s return can be expected, as happened in Florida, time has played against him.

Time complicated actions at the Dothan Country Club to the point that the organizers warned that any delay in the tour of Saturday would lead to the cancellation of the tournament.
