Deal Finalize: Davante Adams Returns: Las Vegas Raiders Reach Verbal Agreement to Re-sign Star Wide Receiver

Posted on May 24, 2025

Recent rumors suggesting that Davante Adams has re-signed with the Las Vegas Raiders are false. Despite some social media buzz and speculative headlines, Adams has not returned to the Raiders. In fact, as of March 2025, he is a member of the Los Angeles Rams, having signed a significant deal that solidifies his position as one of the league’s premier wide receivers.

To understand how the confusion might have started, it’s important to revisit Adams’ recent journey in the NFL. After spending eight successful seasons with the Green Bay Packers—where he became one of quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ favorite targets—Adams was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022. This move reunited him with college quarterback Derek Carr and was seen as a major coup for the Raiders, who hoped his arrival would ignite their offense.

Adams performed well in Las Vegas, posting strong individual numbers despite the team’s struggles. However, the Raiders’ instability at the quarterback position and in the coaching staff eventually led to frustrations. In October 2024, Adams was traded to the New York Jets, reuniting him once again with Aaron Rodgers. The move was heavily publicized, as it was seen as a power play by the Jets to make a deeper push in the AFC.

But that reunion didn’t last long. After a brief stint with the Jets, in March 2025, Adams signed a two-year, $46 million contract with the Los Angeles Rams. The deal includes $26 million in guaranteed money, reflecting the Rams’ confidence in his ability to be a top-tier contributor despite being in the later stages of his career. The Rams, who have been in a bit of a rebuild after their 2021 Super Bowl win, clearly see Adams as a key piece in revitalizing their offense and providing leadership to a young receiving corps.

There is no official or credible report confirming a return to the Raiders. As of now, Adams remains a Los Angeles Ram, and all indications suggest that he’s committed to his new team. While the idea of a reunion with the Raiders might excite some fans—especially those who admired his time in Vegas—it simply isn’t happening.

Misinformation can easily spread in the age of instant digital media, especially when high-profile players are involved. For now, Raiders fans will have to look elsewhere for offensive firepower, while Rams fans can look forward to seeing Adams donning the horns in 2025 and beyond.
