DETROIT, Mich. (WILX) – The Detroit Lions have announced that applications for the 2025 Touchdown in Your Town program are now available.
The program aims to help local high school football teams and cheer squads in Michigan.
Touchdown in Your Town is a partnership alongside the United Dairy Industry of Michigan, Planet Fitness and the Detroit Lions. It benefits local schools by provoding equipment, technology, apparel and/or grants funded by the Detroit Lions Foundation.
The Dairy Industry will also supply schools with a milk grant, and Planet Fitness will renovate a school’s weight room.
After extending our reach last year by adding cheer programs into the mix, we look forward to keeping the momentum going and seeing the ways we can support Michigan’s high school football players and cheerleaders in year seven of this initiative,” said Detroit Lions Vice President of Detroit Lions Foundation and Community Relations Roxanne Caine in a statement.
“We are so grateful for our partners, UDIM and Planet Fitness, for their continuous support of the Detroit Lions Foundation and the community, helping us maximize the positive impact we can make for student athletes statewide.”
Applications began on Tuesday, April 15 and will run until Thursday, May 29.
