Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links …
2025 NFL draft: Latest news, questions for all 32 team picks – ESPN+
What we’re hearing about the Eagles’ draft: The Eagles are mostly content to let the board fall to them at No. 32, but they are prepared to move up if a prospect who’s high on their board ends up falling. Two names to keep an eye on are defensive tackle Walter Nolen (Ole Miss) and edge rusher James Pearce Jr. (Tennessee). And while they broke tendency last year by drafting cornerback Quinyon Mitchell in Round 1, expect them to revert to their usual form this year.
Eagles sign 2021 second-round wide receiver – BGN
The Philadelphia Eagles are signing free agent wide receiver Terrace Marshall, according to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport. You may recognize Marshall as a second-round pick (No. 59 overall) from the 2021 NFL Draft. The LSU alumnus spent three seasons with the Carolina Panthers before he was waived in August 2024. Marshall then spent a little less than two months on the San Francisco 49ers’ practice squad before they moved on from him. The Las Vegas Raiders signed him to their practice squad before promoting him to their roster one month later.
Eagles 2025 draft: Will Howie Roseman trade up, trade back, or stay put at pick No. 32? – PhillyVoice
That 32nd spot is interesting, because it’s the last pick of the draft that includes a fifth-year option on the player’s rookie contract. That has value for teams interested in drafting a highly paid position like quarterback at that spot. To my surprise, since the fifth-year option was added in the 2011 CBA, only one other team has traded up from the second round into the first round to select a quarterback. That was in 2014, when the Seahawks traded the 32nd pick to the Vikings in exchange for Minnesota’s second- and fourth-round selections (40th and 108th). The Vikings selected Teddy Bridgewater. In the 2025 draft, there are a handful of quarterbacks who could reasonably be selected at the end of the first round: Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders (if he slides), Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart, Louisville’s Tyler Shough. As noted above, the Eagles are already flush with picks, so adding more shouldn’t be a priority, but if some QB-needy team that passes on a quarterback early in Round 1 — think Browns, Giants, Saints, etc. — makes a crazy offer to move up into the back end of Round 1 from Round 2, the Eagles would at least have to consider it.
Still Shopping – Iggles Blitz
Marshall had a good career at LSU and then got drafted 59th overall in 2021. In four seasons, he has 67 catches and 1 TD. Hardly inspiring. Marshall hasn’t played on good offenses or with good QBs so that has to be taken into context. That was from 2022, Marshall’s best season as a pro. He has NFL talent, but obviously hasn’t played at a consistently high level. I don’t expect the Eagles to draft a WR early. Other people seem to think that could happen. The addition of Marshall doesn’t change anything. The Eagles have their key guys in place. He is here to be the 2025 version of Parris Campbell.
The Eagles’ all-Howie Roseman draft team ahead of 2025 draft – NBCSP
S: 2010: 2-37 – Nate Allen (South Florida). S: 2010: 7-244 – Kurt Coleman (Ohio State). The safety position hasn’t been a very good one for Roseman. The Eagles have never used a first-round pick on a safety so at least he hasn’t burned a ton of draft capital on bad picks but some of these names are tough to see in succession. And the two picks for this team were drafted way back in 2010 during Roseman’s first draft as GM. While Roseman didn’t draft Reed Blankenship, he should get some credit for signing him as a UDFA following the 2022 draft. And we’ll see this year if Sydney Brown ends up earning that other starting gig. He’s entering Year 3 and hasn’t really had much of a chance to play on defense.
Studying Outcomes Of Each Of The 2011-2020 Rookie Classes – Over The Cap
Among total value, the Lions are set to be the top of the class here, with three players in the top ten in Amon-Ra St. Brown, Penei Sewell, and Alim McNeill, and four others within the top 100. The Eagles also set the stage for their Super Bowl winning team with three in the top 14 in Milton Williams, Devonta Smith, and Landon Dickerson.

NFL free agency: Browns, Joe Flacco agree on a deal, reunion – Dawgs By Nature
Everything we think we knew about what would happen at quarterback for the Cleveland Browns may have just changed. Most expected that QB Kirk Cousins would be traded to Cleveland once the team did not draft a quarterback with the second overall pick. Instead, the Browns and QB Joe Flacco are reuniting after a year apart, according to multiple reports. [BLG Note: Two former Eagles quarterbacks battling it out for the Browns’ starting QB job in 2025: Flacco vs. Kenny Pickett. Electric.]
Washington Commanders Free Agency: QB Josh Johnson returns on 1-year deal – Hogs Haven
The Washington Commanders had three quarterbacks on their roster last season with UDFA rookie Sam Hartman on the practice squad. They’re now back to four QBs, with newly signed veteran QB Josh Johnson taking the journeyman 3rd/4th spot that Jeff Driskel had last season. Jayden Daniels is very securely at the top the depth chart, with Marcus Mariota returning for another season to back him up. Johnson turns 39 next month, and could be replaced by a draft pick/UDFA if the right options are there. Washington is likely to carry four QBs again, but only two of those spots are secured heading into the draft.
DeMarvion Overshown has ambitious goals for return, but acknowledges PUP is most likely start – Blogging The Boys
This has been a big week for DeMarvion Overshown. On Wednesday it was announced that he would become the first player in Dallas Cowboys franchise history to wear the number 0. It had seemed like Overshown wanted the honor for a couple of years now, but it took until now for it to finally and fully happen. We all understand that this is not breaking news by any stretch, but it is somewhat significant around this time of year where we are watching The Masters and waiting for the NFL Draft to get here. Overshown made an appearance on Up & Adams on Thursday to talk about his number change among other things and he was asked about his rehab and recovery process.
New York Giants mock draft tracker: Moving away from quarterback at No. 3 – Big Blue View
Our mock draft tracker for the New York Giants this week reflects the changing tone of chatter surrounding the 2025 NFL Draft. Quarterback is no longer the focus at No. 3 overall for the Giants. This week’s tracker, including only mock draft conducted this month, includes 45 mock drafts. Tied at the top as the players most often selected are Penn State edge defender Abdul Carter and cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter. Each player was chosen 17 times (37.8%). Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders was chosen for the Giants in only six mock drafts (13.3%). BBV’s Nick Falato on Thursday made the case for selecting Hunter over Carter if the Giants have a choice between the draft’s two best position players.
The players we’re most afraid of in the NFL Draft – SB Nation
We’re less than two weeks from the first round of the NFL Draft with rumors flying left and right. Some of the biggest, boldest decisions in war rooms are being made now — with strong convictions from scouts and executives worming their way into the process. This 2025 class doesn’t have that many true, legitimate “busts” waiting to happen (unless you count Jaxson Dart), but the class is full of boom-or-bust prospects that frankly scare to the point we hope we don’t hear their name when our teams are on the clock. Here are the players that we fear the most, and then we want to hear from you: Whose name do you absolutely NOT want to hear in the 1st round of the draft?
