ESPN REPORTS: Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney Has Just Signed A Top Deal Contract Extension…

The Boston Bruins have extended the Veteran Center’s contract by one year. Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced Tuesday that the team has re-signed forward Patrick Brown to a one-year, two-way contract extension through the 2025-26 season with an NHL salary cap hit of $775,000.

 

The 32-year-old captain of the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League has played 56 regular season games with Providence this season, registering 17 goals and 29 assists. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound forward has appeared in 501 career AHL games with Providence, Henderson, Chicago, and Charlotte, contributing 91 goals and 141 assists.

 

Brown has also played in 164 career NHL games with Boston, Ottawa, Philadelphia, Vegas, and Carolina, tallying 10 goals and 16 assists for 26 points. With Boston, Brown has totaled two assists in 26 games over two seasons. The Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, native was originally signed by the Carolina Hurricanes as a free agent in 2014.
