Cantlay did help the US Team win the Presidents Cup, with the visitors beating the International Team last month.Dan Rapaport named Cantlay the MVP at Royal Montreal Golf Club, with the American posting a superb 4-1-0 record.
His teammates Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa posted the same records as the US Team won 18.5-11.5.
But in terms of his individual efforts on the PGA Tour, Cantlay will be planning a stronger season next time out.
