The Green Bay Packers are not far off from being a top-tier Super Bowl contender. After a solid season in 2024, the Packers were quickly defeated by the Philadelphia Eagles in the wild card round of the playoffs.
Jordan Love and company did not live up to the hype. One of the main issues was the offense not being dynamic enough late in the year.
Heading into the offseason, Green Bay was expected to be am aggressive team. That hasn’t been the case so far, as the Packers have signed just three outside players.
Those three players are offensive lineman Aaron Banks, cornerback Nate Hobbs, and wide receiver Mecole Hardman.
Could Green Bay be interested in pulling off a blockbuster trade leading up to the NFL draft?
Austen Bundy of The Sporting News has suggested a potential trade option that would take the Packers’ offense and Love to the next level.
He named Green Bay as one of the best potential trade destinations for Miami Dolphins superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
“Head coach Matt LeFleur doesn’t have a clear-cut WR1 for quarterback Jordan Love. Christian Watson, Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs combined for 2,078 receiving yards in 2024 which was good enough to contribute to an 11-4 record,” Bundy wrote.
After that, he went into his reasoning for the Packers being a potential Hill trade suitor.
“But when one of them went down with injury (and they all did at one point) Love and the offense stalled out,” he wrote. “Bringing in Hill would give Love a clear cut No. 1 option while creating one of the deepest wide receiver rooms in the league. That’s going to translate to at least 11 wins and help Green Bay keep up with their ever-surging NFC North rivals in Minnesota and Detroit.”
Hill put up a down year in 2024 with the Dolphins. In 17 games, he caught 81 passes for 959 yards and six touchdowns.
Back in 2023, however, he totaled 119 receptions for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns in 16 games.
