Actor George Clooney called on Democrats to name a new nominee for the 2024 presidential election, claiming President Biden âcannot win.â
Clooney made the call for a new candidate in an op-ed published in the New York Times on Wednesday, noting that after co-hosting a Biden fundraiser less than two weeks before Bidenâs disastrous debate last month, the largest fundraiser supporting any Democratic candidate to date, he feels the 81-year-old should step down.
âI love Joe Biden,â Clooney wrote. âAs a senator. As a vice president and as president. I consider him a friend, and I believe in him. Believe in his character. Believe in his morals.â
