George Pickens didn’t spend long in unlucky number 13.
The newest Dallas Cowboys star his his real jersey number now in Dallas after a few shakeups.
Pickens was rocking the No. 3 on Tuesday at OTAs, and according to an announcement from the Cowboys, that’s going to stick.
The No. 3 was previously worn by Dante Fowler, who Pickens evidently acquired the single-digit from.
Pickens wore No. 1 in college, then was No. 14 in Pittsburgh.
The Cowboys made a trade to acquire Pickens. He adds something Dallas hasn’t really had of late: a true No. 2 WR alongside CeeDee Lamb.
Pickens’ presence is expected to make Lamb’s life easier. And Lamb’s presence should make Pickens’ life easier, too.
Rather than being stuck in quarterback uncertainty in Pittsburgh, Pickens gets quarterback certainty in Dallas with Dak Prescott.
It seems like a great fit, and it’s safe to expect Pickens No. 3 jerseys to sell like gangbusters once they’re available.
