Wins… Losses… They’re separated by the thinnest of lines. The direction an oblong ball made of pigskin bounces in can determine whether we are handed one result or its opposite. The Philadelphia Eagles are hoping the football bounces their way more often than not on Super Bowl Sunday. Other questions abound though.

Lane Johnson announces he’ll return for a 13th NFL Season.
Lane has recently made statements that demonstrate he’s thought more often about his mortality. Some took that as his hint that he may retire after a potential win by the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.
Those people were wrong. Lane, during a discussion with media members ahead of Philly’s flight to New Orleans, officially announced his decision. He’s playing one more season regardless of what the big game’s outcome winds up being.
He’s already a Super Bowl champion (LII). Another Vince Lombardi Trophy offers an even sturdier case. One of the greatest Eagles ever would be one step closer to having his bust carved and his trip to Canton, Ohio.
He’s a two-time First-Team All-Pro (2017, 2022), a three-time Second-team All-Pro (2021, 2023, 2024), and a six-time Pro Bowler (2017–2019, 2022–2024). The resume speaks for itself. We’re just happy he’ll add to it next season.
