Latest predictions for the Browns’ first-round pick | Mock Draft Roundup
It’s officially draft week.
In three days, the first night of the 2025 NFL Draft will take place, in which the Browns hold a first-round pick for the first time since 2021 that sits as the second overall pick. They also have a total of 10 picks throughout the draft, which they could use to add young talent across numerous positions.
With it being draft week, let’s check in with draft analysts and experts one final time on who they believe will be the Browns’ choice at No. 2.
Chad Reuter, Draft Analyst – NFL.com
The pick: Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado
Analysis: Reuter writes that Hunter is both the best receiver and cornerback in the draft, and the Browns could use another big-play receiver on the roster alongside WR Jerry Jeudy. Yet, Reuter also writes Hunter could line up on the other side of the ball across from CB Denzel Ward to limit options for opposing quarterbacks in the pass game.
Jordan Reid, NFL Draft Analyst – ESPN
The pick: Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado
Analysis: Reid writes that while Hunter is the best player in the 2025 draft class, he also believes he is “the best two-way prospect in modern NFL history.” While Reid believes Hunter should start on defense with an offensive packer of 15-20 plays, he sees how Hunter could boost the Browns offense by adding another playmaker into the mix.
Dan Brugler, NFL Draft Staff Writer – The Athletic
The pick: Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado
Analysis: Brugler writes that he doesn’t see the Browns forcing the pick for a quarterback. At No. 2 with the best player available, he believes the addition of Hunter could provide a necessary spark on offense and defense.
