The NFL announced Wednesday that the Detroit Lions will face off against the Los Angeles Chargers in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game.
The matchup is set to kick off the preseason on July 31 in Canton.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame is promoting the game as a clash between two teams that are “legitimate contenders to reach the Super Bowl.”
The Lions finished last season with a 15-2 record and NFC North title, while the Chargers finished with an 11-6 record and made the playoffs.
Tickets for the game will go on sale April 28.

- Aug. 3: Concert for Legends featuring Nickelback
