NFL Mock Draft 2025: Eagles 7-round simulation, Version 6.0

Posted on April 19, 2025

Welcome to this year’s Mock Simulation Series! Each week, I will run a simulation of the 2025 NFL draft using the Pro Football Focus Draft Simulator. This is the final run of the simulation, with an emphasis on who I would pick given how the board falls.

Round 1, Pick 32 (for the Super Bowl Winner): Colston Loveland, Tight End, Michigan: There’d be something poetic about this. When the Eagles won the Super Bowl seven years ago, their first pick in the following draft was Dallas Goedert. Now they will draft his successor. Colston Loveland would functionally be a third receiver in the Eagles passing game. He is a crisp route runner with reliable hands. He could do some serious damage immediately playing with AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith.

Round 2, Pick 64: Josaiah Stewart, Edge Defender, Michigan: The need to juice up the pass rush is a big one this spring. Josaiah Stewart, if anything, is a pass rushing specialist. While he is not the biggest player, he is extremely adept getting after the quarterback and would thrive in the Eagles defense as a rotational player early on.

Round 3, Pick 96: Benjamin Morrison, Cornerback, Notre Dame: If Benjamin Morrison falls this far, the Eagles should sprint to the podium. Morrison is coming off a disappointing, injury riddled season, but at his best he is a great perimeter defender. He and Kelee Ringo would have a spirited competition for CB2 in the Eagles defense.

Round 4, Pick 134: Kyle Williams, Wide Receiver, Washington State: This is a really deep wide receiver class and it’s possible Kyle Williams tumbles because of that. Kyle Williams is not the biggest or most athletic wide receiver, but he is a great technician and a reliable pass catcher. Williams could play outside or thrive in the slot early in his career.

Round 5, Pick 161: Billy Bowman Junior, Safety, Oklahoma: Billy Bowman Junior is one of my favorite “mid round” prospects in the draft. If he was a little bit bigger, he’d be considered a top safety. Bowman has exceptional range, instincts, and ball skills. While he may not be a surefire day one starter, he could push for time as the Eagles free safety to replace CJ Gardner Johnson.

Round 5, Pick 164: Seth McLaughlin, Center, Ohio State: Getting deeper into the draft, the Eagles will get more oriented towards depth at key positions. Seth McLaughlin can play center and guard dependably and could be a great young player to add to the group as the Eagles look to fill their empty guard spot.

Round 5, Pick 165: Tonka Hemingway, Defensive Tackle, South Carolina: This may be a bit late to address the Milton Williams departure. That being said, Tonka Hemingway is a really solid late round player. He can immediately contribute as a pass rusher. He is a bit of a tweener at 6’2” and 285 pounds, but so was Williams!

Round 5 Pick, Pick 168: Kyle McCord, Quarterback, Syracuse: I am going to be insane about this. Kyle McCord is probably the Day 3 quarterback I would bet the most money on eventually being a solid NFL starter. He is smart, accurate, and fearless when pulling the trigger on tough throws. He would be an excellent player to push for the QB3 spot.
