PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers have locked down one of the cornerstones of their defense, officially announcing today that All-Pro linebacker T.J. Watt has signed a three-year contract extension worth $40.5 million. The deal keeps Watt in the black and gold through the 2028 season and further solidifies his status as the heart of the Steelers’ ferocious defense.
Watt, 30, has been a dominant force since being selected by Pittsburgh in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. A former Defensive Player of the Year, Watt has become synonymous with relentless pressure and game-changing plays.
