This drafting thing isn’t that hard. Take really, really good players from Alabama and Georgia, and build around that. The Eagles had to fill in some gaps, and they didn’t address enough of their needs, but overall it was Super Bowl Champion draft to throw some options in the mix to see if they’ll work. They didn’t really need linebackers Jihaad Campbell from Alabama and Smael Mondon From Georgia, but for a franchise that had linebacker issues for years, sure. Fine. The secondary got plenty of help, some offensive tackle shots were taken late, and Clemson’s Andrew Mukuba – and undrafted free agent Maxen Hook, from Toledo – should be great to get younger and stronger at safety.

There was just one skill guy selected, and it was a sixth rounder. However, Syracuse QB Kyle McCord was quietly a wonderful idea to develop as an emergency option and idea for the future. With that said …
What Went Wrong? There wasn’t a ton of value. Mukuba can play, but he was selected a bit too early. UCF’s McWilliams went WAY too early – there was an off-chance he’d be a UDFA – and even with all the picks, there weren’t any pass catchers in the bunch.
