The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off this Thursday, April 24, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Round one will take place on night one, followed by rounds two and three on Friday night, before concluding with rounds four through seven on Saturday afternoon.
The Philadelphia Eagles own the 32nd pick as reigning Super Bowl champions. As of now, general manager Howie Roseman has eight picks to work with this year, including four in the fifth round.
Second Round, 37th Overall Pick: Donovan Ezeiruaku (EDGE, Boston College)
Donovan Ezeiruaku is a projected first-round pick, with most experts predicting him to go late in the round. In this mock, the Eagles get a first-round talent who slipped into the early second round.
Ezeiruaku had three sacks as a true freshman at Boston College before really making a name for himself during his sophomore year. As a sophomore, he had a team-leading 8.5 sacks and three forced fumbles in 12 games. Ezeiruaku had a bit of a down year in 2023 but had a breakout season as a senior in 2024.
Ezeiruaku had a team-leading and conference-leading 16.5 sacks and 21 tackles for loss a season ago. The 21-year-old recorded 80 tackles and was tied for the team lead with three forced fumbles. He earned First-Team All-ACC, consensus All-American, and ACC Defensive Player of the Year honors. Ezeiruaku was named the Ted Hendricks Award winner, given to the nation’s top defensive end.
Tate Ratledge seems like the ideal player to suit up along the Eagles’ offensive line. The 6-foot-6, 300-plus-pound guard plays with the right mentality and impressive toughness that teams look for in a lineman. The Eagles trade up to grab a potential day-one starter.
Third Round, 68th Overall Pick via Raiders: T.J. Sanders (Defensive Tackle, South Carolina)
The Eagles received the 68th overall pick from the Raiders as part of the trade that led to Ezeiruaku in the second round. Roseman circles back to the defensive front, selecting South Carolina’s defensive tackle T.J. Sanders.
The Eagles lost Milton Williams to the New England Patriots this offseason and will be looking to add depth to the defensive tackle position. Sanders may not last to the 68th overall pick, but if he does, the Eagles should be all over him.
Fourth Round, 104th Overall Pick: TRADE – Isaiah Bond (Wide Receiver, Texas)
Eagles receive: 104th overall pick
Cleveland Browns receive: 134th overall pick and a 2026 third-round pick
Isaiah Bond was originally projected to be a second-round pick, with some experts believing he has first-round talent. Although falling to the start of the fourth round may be a stretch, the Texas wide receiver is falling on draft boards after a woman accused him of alleged sexual assault. Bond and his lawyers say the sexual encounter was consensual and filed a lawsuit against the woman, claiming defamation and false statements.
Bond is an explosive wide receiver with good hands and top-end speed. He can play outside or in the slot and would be the perfect No. 3 receiver with A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith in Philly. If he somehow falls to the fourth round, the Eagles should take a chance on him.
Fourth Round, 111th Overall Pick: TRADE – Terrance Ferguson (Tight End, Oregon)
Eagles receive: 111th overall pick
Carolina Panthers receive: Tight end Dallas Goedert
Dalla Goedert’s name has been floating around trade rumors this offseason. The 30-year-old is heading into a contract year with the Eagles and has an injury history. The team may not view him as a long-term answer at this point in his career and has already signed two tight ends this offseason.
The Eagles are reportedly looking for at least a fourth-round pick in exchange for Goedert. Teams like the New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts, and Carolina Panthers all make sense as trade partners. The Eagles will be offered their rumored asking price during the draft and move on from their starting tight end.
Although not a polished blocker, Terrance Ferguson is effective in the passing game and has good size. The Oregon product set school records with 134 career receptions and 16 receiving touchdowns by a tight end throughout his four-year collegiate career. He would be Geodert’s immediate replacement with the Eagles
Fifth Round, 144th Overall Pick: TRADE – Malachi Moore (Safety, Alabama)
Eagles receive: 144th overall pick
Patriots receive: 161st overall pick (via Houston) and a 2026 fifth-round pick
The Eagles trade up yet again to select Alabama’s team captain, Malachi Moore. After trading starting safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson to the Houston Texans this offseason, the Eagles need to have quality depth at the position. Reed Blankenship will remain a starter, but the other safety job is between Sydney Brown, Tristin McCollum, and Lewis Cine. Moore would give the Eagles another young, capable option.
Moore earned First-Team All-SEC honors in 2024 and led Alabama’s defense with eight pass breakups.
Fifth Round, 164th Overall Pick: Cody Simon (Linebacker, Ohio State)
The Eagles re-signed All-Pro linebacker Zack Baun this offseason, but Nakobe Dean is rehabbing a torn patellar tendon suffered in the Wild Card win over the Green Bay Packers. Dean’s replacement in the playoffs, Oren Burks, signed with the Cincinnati Bengals this offseason, leaving the Eagles with 2024 fifth-round pick Jeremiah Trotter Jr. and 2023 undrafted free agent Ben VanSumeren as the notable linebacker depth.
Cody Simon started 15 games on Ohio State’s National Championship-winning defense in 2024. He led the team with 112 tackles and was named the Rose Bowl and National Championship Game Defensive MVP. His experience should be enticing to a championship-caliber team like the Eagles.
Fifth Round, 168th Overall Pick: Dillon Gabriel (Quarterback, Oregon)
Jalen Hurts is the franchise quarterback in Philadelphia. If history says anything, the Eagles greatly value the quarterback position, even if the franchise is committed to a player as the starter.
The Eagles traded for former first-round pick Kenny Pickett in 2024 after two years as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ starter and recently flipped him to the Browns for quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson and a 2025 fifth-round pick. The Eagles were rumored to have interest in former Patriots backup quarterback Joe Milton III before he was traded to the Dallas Cowboys this offseason.
