It’s a good time to be Nick Sirianni.
The Philadelphia Eagles head coach is fresh off winning the first Lombardi Trophy of his career, in the second Super Bowl appearance in the past two years.
Even one of Sirianni’s signature and most successful plays, the “tush push” won’t be banned, at least not this year.
For the first time, Sirianni is also up for a new contract, at the most opportune time to be entering negotiations with owner Jeffrey Lurie and Howie Roseman.
“These things will take care of themselves,” Sirianni told reporters at the NFL Annual Meeting in Fort Lauderdale. “I’m not too concerned about it. I don’t really get into contracts with, anybody, I’m not going to get into it with this one. It will take care of itself.”
The Eagles hired Sirianni in January, 2021, and through his first four seasons has posted a 54-20 record while leading Philadelphia to the postseason each season.
