“Raiders Urged to Target $80M Former All-Pro WR After Eye-Opening Report!”

Posted on May 26, 2025

The Las Vegas Raiders have a pressing need at wide receiver, as the team lacks reliable and productive players at the position outside of Jakobi Meyers.

General manager John Spytek should look to address the issue at some point this offseason, and Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp should be the team’s ideal target.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Rams plan to release Kupp after the start of the new league year if they can’t find a trade partner for the veteran receiver.

“Sources: Rams are planning to release WR Cooper Kupp after the start of the new league year unless a trade materializes,” Schefter wrote.

Kupp is getting older and has dealt with some injuries over the last few years, but the former All-Pro has still been decently productive and would be a solid No.3 pass-catching option for the Raiders behind tight end Brock Bowers and Meyers. The 2017 third-round pick has posted three straight seasons with over 700 receiving yards and five touchdowns and would be a savvy security blanket for quarterback Geno Smith.

Additionally, Kupp shouldn’t cost too much to sign, as Spotrac projects the Super Bowl LVI MVP will land a two-year deal worth around $22 million, which averages to $11 million per season.

Las Vegas still has a good amount of cap space to make significant moves in free agency, and adding Cooper Kupp to the offense would be an excellent signing. The former Eastern Washington standout is still an impactul player and would be a nice veteran presence in the Raiders’ new-look offense.
