Raiders v Bulldogs – Get to GIO Stadium Canberra Early “The Countdown is On – Here’s Why You’ll Want to Get to GIO Stadium Early!”

Posted on May 10, 2025

The Canberra Raiders take on the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs this Saturday in a massive NRL showdown at GIO Stadium Canberra, as part of the NRL’s Women in League Round celebrations.

With a big crowd expected and plenty happening before kick-off, fans are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy a full day of action.

To help make your trip easier, extra public transport services will be running. Dedicated Raiders GIO Chartered Buses will be operating from key locations across Canberra.

Before the NRL stars hit the field, the next generation of female talent will be on show in an Under 17s girls match between the Junior Bushrangers and Woden Valley Rams, kicking off at 12:45pm. It’s a great way to start the day and show support for grassroots rugby league.

A Reminder to supporters that this match is a sell-out. GIO Stadium Canberra advises to be wary of purchasing tickets via third party websites.

Fans can also head to the Fanzone between 1:00pm and 2:30pm for a special NRLW meet and greet, where you’ll have the chance to meet some of the Raiders’ NRLW players, and grab a photo or autograph.

Gates open at 12:30pm, so get in early to grab your seat, enjoy the atmosphere, and be part of a special day that recognises the vital role women play in rugby league both on and off the field.

Additional screens will be placed at the Southern end of the venue for people with standing room only tickets.

With a sold out crowd, let’s make some noise for the Green Machine and be there for the Viking Clap!
