Jets Add Speed to Offense, Select WR Arian Smith in Fourth Round
Florham Park, NJ – April 27, 2025
The New York Jets continued to bolster their offensive arsenal during the 2025 NFL Draft, selecting wide receiver Arian Smith out of Georgia with the 110th overall pick in the fourth round.
Known for his elite speed and ability to stretch the field, Smith adds a vertical threat to the Jets’ receiving corps—a clear signal that the team is building around newly acquired quarterback Justin Fields.
“Arian brings an element of explosiveness that’s hard to find,” said head coach Aaron Glenn. “He’s a guy who can take the top off a defense and open up opportunities underneath.”
At Georgia, Smith was a track star in addition to playing football, often showcased as a deep threat in the Bulldogs’ offense. Despite limited college production due to injuries and a crowded receiver room, his athletic upside remains high.
The Jets are hoping that with the right development and health, Smith can contribute immediately as a weapon in both the passing game and on special teams.
Fans have responded enthusiastically, noting the team’s clear emphasis on speed and playmaking in this year’s draft.
With the selection of Arian Smith, the Jets continue to craft a new identity—dynamic, fast, and aggressive on both sides of the ball.
